We are already at the final 2 days of 2015, and I could count with my two hands just how many posts I have written this year. Hahaha. I'm sorry, my life isn't that interesting for me to write a lot of stuffs.
I actually don't know what to write for this post too, but since 2015 is coming to an end and 2016 is just around the corner, which means being one year older I think I want to share what I've learnt at 21. I actually wrote this list in my diary and I'd like to share a piece of what's in my very personal diary. Hahaha.
1. People change. Good/Bad, who knows. The person you knew last year can change within a year, including me.
2. Studies never end. Sick, healthy, alive or barely breathing, it'll just keep coming. So? There's always time to unwind a little.
3. Learn to let go. Things around you are not going to be the same, and it won't ever be how you want it to be. Ultimately, things happened because Allah wills it to be. Let go, Allah knows what's good and what's bad for you.
4. Balancing student life and part-time work is not easy. Tried working under a major company, I couldn't cope with it. Expectations from both school and workplace is just too demanding.
5. Cherish the people around you. You never know when's the last time they'll be with you, smiling, laughing and breathing. (Miss you, Cik Amin)
6. Put your parents first. In Shaa Allah, you'll be blessed in all ways possible. Make them happy, smile and laugh, you'll be happy, smiling and laughing too.
7. Be generous. The only way to get more, is to give more. Spoil people you love, if that makes you happy.
8. Go out, explore the world. There's so many things/creations by Allah that we all need to see, witness to become even more humble than we can ever be.
9. People can push you, can encourage you. But afterall, only you know your limit. In the end, the one struggling is you. Families or friends don't live your life, they don't know what's happening. So they encourage you. Well, you could take it and push yourself further, but...if in the end your life and happiness is at stake, then stop pushing yourself. We're all humans.
10. Take some time off to spend time with humans, especially family or friends. They could teach you life values that you cannot get it off the books.
11. Forgive people. Be a forgiver. Everyone makes mistakes, even you. So why not forgive people?
12. Well, on mistakes, be the one first one to say sorry, regardless of whether you are in the right or wrong, just give in and apologise. The one who apologise first is the winner of the argument.
13. Do whatever you feel like doing. Even if it means getting laughed at or hated on, just do it. Who cares what others got to say? They're insignificant. You determine your own happiness.
14. It's okay to be flying solo at this age. It just means you're independent and capable of handling your own emotions. You console yourself, you pick yourself up when you're down. You are your own boyfriend.
15. Want something? Earn it. Nothing is going to fall from the sky.
16. Pamper yourself. Burn candles if it makes you at peace. Take time off from the hustle and bustle of city life. Slow down.
17. Be patient. Some things take a lot of time, some don't. Just be patient if things don't work out. It'll work out when it wants to work out. Allah knows.
18. Be a good person and a slave to Allah. Perform your prayers. Never forget on Allah. So much Barakah will you lose if you forget on Him.
19. Surround yourself with positive vibes. You will lead a positive day, night and life, In Shaa Allah. "It's how you want things to be will things become"
20. Be grateful of the little things you're blessed with. Home, bed, family. Some people on the other side of the globe woke up losing their homes and families.
21. Look for the silver lining. Rough times don't last forever, there's always, always something good in the end.
Well, that's it, I guess. 2015 was nothing less than beautiful. Every year, life had been really great to me, Alhamdulillah! Goodbye, 2015. You've been amazing. And Assalamu'alaikum, 2016. May you be better, In Shaa Allah.
