One of the most beautiful things to do, yet some does not realise the beauty of it.
Being able to see things you've never seen before, experiencing a whole new culture, mixing with a totally different group of people, breaking through your own comfort zone. Do you not realise how travel can do so much? Can teach us so much?
Many are against travelling partly because of a few reasons.
One, studies. By that I meant, tertiary education.
Yes, indeed, the world is all about education. But hey, you've studied for so long, and you're going to study for the rest of your life, in one way or another. But, to me, life does not revolve around studies alone. There are so much that you could do. Furthermore, after a degree, it wouldn't guarantee that you'll be doing something related to that field. You might still have not found the perfect course.
So, I personally don't understand when people around stop me from travelling because of my tertiary education. Because learning is a journey, and travel can be a learning process, to me.
Two, work.
The need to take unpaid leave, and to clear the work. All I can say is, whether you travel or not, the work is going to pile up, and it's never ever going to stop piling up. It'll just increase day by day. "I work for money which is a basic necessity for me to live." Fine, so be it. But! The need to take unpaid leave to travel will only decrease your earnings for that particular month. You can always compensate. Plus, until when do you want to be a machine, operated by some higher authorities for their life agendas, when you yourself, have a life to live? Why let them control what you can do in life?
Three, insufficient money.
Yes, probably the ultimate reason why it has stopped us from travelling. But to explore this beautiful mother earth created by the Almighty, you don't need much. You just need a few, to explore. It's not about going to the furthest country, instead, it's about enjoying every moment, and everything about the earth. You can explore the nearest country to you. A country which you might have frequently visited but explore a totally new city/district. For example, you always go to Malaysia (it's the nearest country to me. lol), but do you realise that Malaysia is bigger than just Kuala Lumpur, bigger than just Johore Baharu? There are many other cities in Malaysia. So why visit the same place over and over again? This, I can't understand.
All I could say is, if not now, when? Just when do you intend on seeing new things on this beautiful world? I know for sure, I don't want to be on my deathbed, regretting every minute for not taking the opportunity to explore when I could. I don't want to regret not doing what I want.
Just witness this beautiful view that I saw. |
Travelling had been my dream since I was 17. I have started travelling when I was 18, and I'm travelling again when I'm 20 (which I'm really grateful for) So, you can see that all I want to do, is just travel my whole life. It's a dream that I really want to achieve. And that, nothing and nobody can stop me. I'll do whatever it take and earn everything I would need to make that dream come true. And wallahi, it's a goal that I've made in my life; and my goals and dreams are different than what you have for me. I do trust you people for knowing what's best for me, but sometimes, I have a much bigger dream for myself. And that is..to travel the world.
Alright, I feel much better after blogging what had been in my mind for so long!
Okay, guys!
